Registration

No later than 4 p.m. March 2, 2009, candidates for the BDCC Business Plan Competition must submit an Executive Summary (two pages) and Financial Description (one page) containing the following information:

  • Name of the company
  • Name of owner(s)
  • Experience of the owner(s)
  • Description of the product or service you intend to or are now providing
  • Description of the market your product or service is for
  • Description of how you will promote and sell your product or services
  • A schedule of intended activity
  • Number of current or proposed full-time equivalent (FTE) positions your company would employ through the next five years
  • Anticipated cash flows
  • Sources and uses of start-up funding and/or new investments
  • Explanation of how the prize money would be used
  • Description of your profit model

Please note: BDCC is offering a free information session for interested contestants on February 12, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 2 East at the Marlboro College Technology Center. In addition, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be hosting a "Start Your Own Business" seminar covering business plans and financials on February 25, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at BDCC.
